Walks

In October 2011 ASD Projects Office and the public space consultancy Publica organized a series of guided walks around the area of Aldgate, each exploring a specific theme and guided by an invited expert in that field.

“Our five expert-led themed walks were designed to present different frames through which to read and understand Aldgate. The themes were drawn from a study of the organisations and institutions in the area, thinking about what links might be made by students in their projects. They were: ‘Gender’ by architect Anne Thorne, ‘Super-Local’ by educator Anna Apola, ‘Faith’ by Ben Perrot of muf art/architecture, ‘Trade’ by artist Kate Rich and ‘Philanthropy’ by Graham Fisher, director of Toynbee Hall.”
