The main brief set for BA Illustration students was to re-interpret Hogarth’s ‘A Rake’s Progress’ based on contemporary culture and society.

The task was to create a series of images describing the course of a flawed life, from confident beginning to disreputable end. Crucially, using  the Aldgate area of London as a backdrop and metaphor to the events that take place in the illustrations.
