Animated Street Art

The stories of Aldgate are painted on the (cave) walls. Street art is not graffiti. Graffiti is vandalism. Street Art enlivens and enriches an area and is an attraction to visitors.

Areas in Aldgate are already an informal centre for the best Street art. If areas are left dormant they will be vandalised and made ugly.

The proposal is to fill latent spaces with street art, but of a special and new kind. This new kind of street art will use projection and other techniques and will be animated.

We do not want to invade or to impose street art on people’s houses and shops. The idea is to talk with people who live and work in Aldgate and to tell their stories.

The projected street art will be a talking point and a gathering point. “Technology is the fireplace around which we tell our stories.”
