Championing Quality in Mental Health

Mental health is an essential and key element of the Centre’s portfolio. Our research and practice profile has led us to emphasise the importance of mental health and wellbeing resulting in our evidenced based bespoke programmes. These programmes are designed with our partners to address changes in the legal and policy frameworks in relation to population and individual needs in order to address complex quality issues in mental health. Programmes are designed for those working in the health, social care and third sectors. Our expert staff help students to understand and apply theory, policy and practical aspects within a range of mental health programmes which may be short or long courses. Particular strengths include developing skills and knowledge to assess and manage common mental health problems using brief therapies and empowering service users.
