Social Enterprise

ICCD will support a number of social enterprise businesses which will enable community groups to acquire the skills to launch ethical, fair trade initiatives. Furthermore, the sale of textiles and spices will be used as a platform for stories to be told about the struggles people face at community level in different parts of the world. The businesses will be supported and run by our students and linked into the MSc in Social Enterprise.

The products we sell will come from community groups we have links to in our target countries. LondonMet students who are part of or have links to community organisations are invited to promote their work and sell their products through the centre.

First Project:

London Met Anthropology student Gumring  Hkangda is a member of the Kachin group from Burma, through the sale of textiles and the promotion of their dance the political cause of this group will be promoted by ICCD social enterprise initiative.
