These pages are concerned with Information and democracy and provide a space for critical discussion of social aspects of information and its role in achieving democratic and human rights for all. It addresses issues of equality, human rights, social inclusion, economic and social justice, and struggles for liberation and democracy.

Positive social change can occur with the spread of alternative ideas, vision and experiences. A new world is possible. In a rapidly changing world, teaching and learning play a critical role in justice and equality in society. This site hopes to bring about a better understanding of the forces of liberation in a world sharply divided between globalised capitalism and people’s movements for liberation.
