Postgraduate Research Opportunities

Studying with IPSE

The Institute for Policy Studies in Education aims at making an impact — and one way we can do this is through helping develop the pool of trained researchers and policy analysts in education, particularly developing research skills that are sensitive to a diverse and inclusive society, and to supporting education for social justice.

IPSE has a lively research culture which includes: running a public seminar series which attracts a wide number of participants from across the academic, practitioner and policy sectors, organising events such as the Happy Talk conference in collaboration with other organisations and running a regular reading group for staff and students. All postgraduate students are encouraged to take part.  In addition to formal teaching and supervision sessions, EdD and PhD students are encouraged to attend the Research Student Seminars, the newly reconstituted IPSE Reading Group (for staff and students) and other relevant seminars held here at Londonmet and at other universities.

A full list of Current Postgraduate Students' topics, can be found here and Completed PhD/ EdD Theses list can be found here.

We welcome enquiries from potential research students, and from those wishing to develop bespoke training courses in educational research.
